V657 Movement

Iwill try and fix the old movement (I got some spares) and if successful, I'll add the walkthrough too. (I still have a NH36 I want to document here so it might take a little) At about US$50 new and hard to find, it is a good idea to try and fix the old movement, I think.

Contrasting subdials are always an attractive feature on any dial, but this is the first time we have seen blue sub dials on a yellow dial and the design works. We especially like the word Chronograph in yellow on the top blue subdial. Everything is original except for the glass, that we have just had replaced, and of course the battery that will have a new cell fitted before it is sent out. The bracelet does have quite a few marks, some quite severe. Some people like watches to look their age, other prefer them polished, and some people might put this straight onto a leather or rubber strap for a different look altogether. All functions on the V657 movement work as they should, with 1/10th seconds dial at 12, chronograph seconds at 6 and chronograph minutes at 9. Unusually the centre seconds hand is for the normal timekeeping, not the chronograph, so runs permanently. The original box is included but no paperwork.

This is PULSAR Chronograph Date watch for men. Movement is SEIKO SII V657 Chronograph movement. Case was made in CHINA. SII V657 Chronograph movement was made in Japan. Everything are acceptable quality.

Main second hand is moving all the time independently. No connection with chronograph function. All chronograph hands will be re-winded to zero position when you press reset. button. They won't directly hit to zero position like other SEIKO chronograph models.
