An archive of almost 13,000 MIDI files has been added to this site for members to download.  See the link in the introductory notes.

Hi Mr. Ward,

Thank You for adding almost

13,000 Piano MIDI files to our site.

I was able to download and extract those zipped files.

What marvelous resources you all share and provide.

I am 70 years old and have lived in Portland, Maine for

most of my life and I was born and raised in Sanford, Maine.

I am able to playback the Piano MIDI files you have

provided with my setup, no problem.

This is what I have: Yamaha GranTouch GT1 with MIDI support,

Midiman USB to MIDI adapter, Intel, i7 computer, Vanbasco's

Karaoke Player and now a vast treasure trove of MIDI Piano files.

Your work and compilations are just amazing!

Again, Thank You!

Sincerely,

Dale Ashby

My understanding is that these files should be available at link below, but I've been unable to access them. Have others managed to reach them?

Thanks,

Among the files is a folder of MIDIs to which Geoff added lyrics using a program that I wrote and he tested and provided instructions for. I am not aware if anyone else is using this program. Geoff added lyrics to 246 MIDI files so the program must be usable. The help file written by Geoff is very complete. It amazes me that I wrote this program with all the options and capabilities. For most cases or just sloppy work none of the details and capabilities are needed.

MIDI with lyrics is real fun, I wish there were more. People can check out the program on the download page of my web site. It looks like this. The image below is not a link you need to find it on the download page http://spencerserolls.com/Files4Download.html from there you can find other utilities, explore the old site or click on the home button on the left nav bar to reach the current site which has information on things like A2M

KARAOKE LYRIC ADDING PROGRAM this is the new version that Geoff is using. the zip also includes his dictionary that has words added that are commonly found in popular song lyrics

The link to the midi files still works.  You find it in the Welcome area above the conversations area.  Look for an arrow pointing left to return to the home screen

Is everyone who is having trouble with the link using an Apple device.  I don't use Apple so I can't test it.  The link still works, but here it is again:

I made my initial, unsuccessful attempt to access the files on a Windows PC, and on this hardware, the revised link circulated by Alan worked fine for me.

microsoft has decided to make it the default to minimize or completely hide scrollbars until you mouse over the bar or the window that is to be scrolled so it can be less than obvious that a window is scrollable and might have hidden content. i do not know if other operating systems to this too. i find it really annoying and can not understand WTF they would do this.

I am at a loss to find the 13,000 files nor the introductory notes.  Any help would be appreciated.

I can't offer any more help to those who can't find the link to the midi files.  You'll have to work it out yourselves or ask your grandchildren.  For those who have successfully downloaded, I have added 3 more folders of popular hand-played files by Bill Edwards, Bob Mace and Robert Goldstick.  Enjoy.
Kind regards

Geoff

I don't have any grandchildren and my only children are dogs. Surely you can hand deliver the files. I will send you an SD card and a dollar (Australian) for your efforts.

The archives of MIDI files I have uploaded have been added to and changed a bit since I first uploaded them.  The lists have also been updated with the additional files.  If you have successfully downloaded the files, I suggest that you delete them and download them again.
Kind regards

Thanks Dale.  Glad they are appreciated.  I get a lot of enjoyment from these midi files collected over many years.  I thought it was time to share that enjoyment.
