DKC-850 Availability

Hello wonderful Disklavier friends!

I’m in Orange County in Southern California and I have a neighbor whose early generation Disklavier (with a wagon) DKW10 no longer works. What are options or steps that you recommend they undertake?

A. I was thinking maybe replace it with DKC-850 but is that unit still available for sale? Any newer model that replaced the 850?

B. Maybe it’s not the wagon that’s broken but the system inside the piano. Should they call Yamaha in Buena Park? Do you know any tech in Orange County specializing in Yamaha DKs?

Would appreciate any of your suggestions and advice. Thank you!

Years ago, Tap helped a main dead piano part once mailed to them from Vt to Cal. Pretty sure they have answers, info & great team of techs.
