The film begins with an opening shot of the Gandhi residence before the film rewinds to introduce the characters. Hasmukh Gandhi is a happy go lucky man, but his stress-free life is interrupted when his daughter, Tanisha comes home with her boyfriend, Montu. Tanisha was a die hard fan of Superstar Sonia Kapoor, and Montu promised her that he knows Sonia Kapoor well and will once take her to meet Sonia. Montu went to Ahmedabad on a challenge that he can get any girl. He offered Gandhi a partnership in his upcoming project, which was rejected by Gandhi, as he knew Montu had malicious intentions. The Gandhi family, however, fell for Montu's charm. Not wanting his daughter to be entrapped, Hasmukh finds Bakul Booch as the perfect one for Tanisha. Bakul is Hasmakh's manager in his office. He and Tanisha were childhood friends. When Hasmukh revealed his plan of getting Bakul married to Tanisha, Bakul denied and said he was not a perfect match and was very shy as against Tanisha. Hasmukh takes it upon himself to transform Bakul into a cool 'gujju'. He plans to create a fake relationship between Bakul with superstar Sonia Kapoor. Tanisha was a die hard fan of Sonia.

In the interim, Hasmukh meets Laila in a meeting, who realises that Hasmukh was a rich man and thus she plans to trap Hasmukh by asking him to give money in order to get rid of her. Hasmukh's wife was unaware of Laila's blackmailing.

The film is based on the Gujarati stage play series, Gujjubhai starring Sidhharth Randeria. Ishaan Randeria, son of lead actor Siddharth, wrote the screenplay and directed the film which went into production for one and half year. Apara Mehta was approached for the role in 2014 but declined due to busy schedule.[8] They shot across Ahmedabad for 40 days including at heritage houses, Sabarmati Riverfront and Kankaria lake.[9]

Gujjubhai The Great features songs sung by Divya Kumar, Parth Oza, Advait Nemlekar, Vibha Saraf, Ketan Singh, Mansheel Gujral, Shikha Jain. Music and Background Score for the film is composed by Parth Bharat Thakkar and additional music is by Advait Nemlekar. The soundtrack was launched on 31 August at Ahmedabad.[10]

The official poster for the film was released on 18 August 2015.[11] The first trailer was released online on 25 August 2015 and was received positively by the audiences. The film released on 18 September in Gujarat, Mumbai, and Pune.[12] Seeing the positive response in the first week, the film was released in Delhi, Gurgaon, Udaipur, Hyderabad, Vijaywada, Indore, Bangalore, Nagpur, and Kolkata.[13]

The film received positive reviews. Mid-Day said, "The film appeals to its target audience because it has everything they expect from Gujjubhai, and in spite of the crazy goings-on, there is no overacting and very little slapstick."[15] DeshGujarat said, "Siddharth Randeria's Gujjubhai the great fully entertains with lots of laugh-out-loud moments throughout the film."[16]

Almost 350 WWI students were agog & excited to hear from the alumni who were once seated in the same auditorium as a WWI students and have now marked their names successfully in the industry. Ishaan who graduated in the year 2010 spoke about his journey post graduation, from assisting the directors to directing Ad films to moving on to his first independent film. He expressed his gratitude towards WWI for all the knowledge. He stated that the experience he gained during diploma film shoots helped him to a great extend as he stepped out into the industry.

First, while travelling in eastern Uttar Pradesh villages last month, those who knew I was from Gujarat engaged me in extensive conversations about it and the Patidar agitation, while several of those who did not know where I was from, talked about the good life in Gujarat as they had heard from their friends and kin settled in that state.

Second, Professor Amartya Sen picks Gujarat (and no other state) to contrast Kerala's all-round achievements (which meet with his fulsome appreciation) in his new book, The Country of First Boys thus: "Gujarat's success in [infrastructure] ...is certainly a good development."

Gujarat's maritime tradition is matched by that of Tamil Nadu, which looked eastward. Merchants - and not princes - from the two coastal regions established their presence abroad, leading to more lasting impressions and greater repatriation of wealth.

No surprise then that the two states' spirit of enterprise is reflected in their top rankings among major Indian states on per capita incomes (Haryana and Maharashtra are the top two, but would most likely slip lower if the influences of Delhi and Mumbai respectively are excluded.

The more adventurous Gujaratis of all stripes voluntarily travelled far and away in pursuit of fame and fortune, but mostly returned to their native land. This circulation (and not necessarily a diasporic movement) meant that Gujarat was globalising long before the term gained currency.

In his well-reviewed The Dhandho Investor (John Wiley, 2007), Mohnish Pabrai shows with convincing logic and income and investment analysis that the Patels had picked a low-risk, high-return business with little competition.

Another group of Gujarati immigrants captured the news kiosk and local groceries business first in London and then all over the United Kingdom following the exact same approach. It also helped that most native stores observed 9-to-5 hours and Sundays as holidays, while the Patels stayed open 14 hours a day, seven days a week.

And when even that was not enough, influencing policies by all available means to minimise risks was the answer: ask Dhirubhai Ambani and Gautam Adani! Come to think of it, the Narendra Modi-Amit Shah strategy of splitting the opposition to ensure electoral victories with a minority of votes is the extension of the same approach to politics.

Pabrai says with regard to the Patel motels, "If you went to a horse race track and you were offered 90 per cent odds of a 20 times return and a 10 per cent chance of losing your money, would you take that bet? Heck Yes! You'd make that bet all day long!"

If you win the Lok Sabha first, and then in quick succession the Haryana, Maharashtra, and Jharkhand Assemblies, would you follow the same strategy in Bihar notwithstanding its backfiring badly in the politically small potatoes of Delhi? Heck Yes!

Mung Dal is made from the split and peeled seeds of the mung bean, which is a legume that is native to Asia. It is high in protein, fiber, and essential nutrients, making it a great choice for vegetarians and vegans, as well as anyone who wants to add more plant-based protein to their diet.

This versatile legume can be cooked in a variety of ways and is often used in soups, stews, curries, and salads. It has a mild, nutty flavor that pairs well with a variety of spices and seasonings, making it a great ingredient for experimenting with new recipes.
