I have an .iso file that contains the windows 7 home edition and I want to make a bootable dvd to install it to my PC, I have nero burning rom 10. Is there any tutorial for this because I found this: -to-create-windows-7-bootable-dvd-using-nero/ but it is explaining about .IMA files not .ISO files! is there any difference or its the same. Maybe I didnt understand the 3d step, do I have to choose the ISO file that I have?

If the sidebar doesn't match what you see, I can't help you with Nero, as I don't use it. However, in that case you might try seeing the instructions at Click "Show me how" at Step 2 ("Burn your CD or create a bootable USB stick").

Nero Burning ROM, commonly called Nero, is an optical disc authoring program from Nero AG. The software is part of the Nero Multimedia Suite but is also available as a stand-alone product. It is used for burning and copying optical media such as CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray disks. The program also supports the label printing technologies LightScribe and LabelFlash, and can be used to convert audio files into other audio formats.

Nero Burning ROM is a pun in reference to Roman Emperor Nero, who was best known for his association in the Great Fire of Rome. The emperor allegedly fiddled while the city of Rome burned. Also, Rome in German is spelled Rom. The software's logo features a burning Colosseum, although this is an anachronism as it was not built until after Nero's death.[2]

Nero Burning ROM is only available for Microsoft Windows. A Linux-compatible version was available from 2005 to 2012, but it has since been discontinued.[3] In newer versions, media can be added to compilations via the Nero MediaBrowser. Nero AirBurn, a new feature in Nero 2015, enables users to burn media straight from their mobile devices.[4] The latest version is Nero Burning ROM 2017 released in October 2016 including SecurDisc [ru; de] 4.0 with 256-bit encryption.

Nero Burning ROM works with a number of optical disc image formats, including the raw uncompressed image using the ISO9660 standard and Nero's proprietary NRG file format. Depending on the version, additional image formats may be supported. To use non-natively supported formats such as lossless FLAC, Wavpack, and Shorten, additional program modules must be installed. The modules are also known as plug-ins and codecs and are usually free, although Nero AG sells some proprietary video and audio plug-ins. Standard CD images created by Nero products have the filename extension .NRG, but users can also create and burn normal ISO images.

I finally updated my old Nero 7 to the latest Nero version and tried to get rid of as many unnecessary Nero applications as possible during installation. To be honest, I only need the program to burn DVDs and CDs and not to recode videos, create covers or edit sounds. With all the care that I have taken during installation some programs still slipped through, namely Nero Scout which I spotted in Windows Explorer right after the installation of the latest version of Nero finished on the system.

Before I started removing it I had to find out why it was there in first place. What's the purpose of Nero Scout? It turns out that Nero Scout catalogs media files on the computer and stores the information in a database that is being used by other Nero applications. Something that I do not need at all and that seems to be of no use whatsoever even for users of Nero who use the software to its fullest.

Thankfully though it is quite easy to remove Nero Scout if you are using Nero 8. Just start the Nero Scout application from the Start Menu, it's hidden in the Nero Toolkit menu. Once the application has started it offers two options that disable Nero Scout completely.

I think it should be sufficient to uncheck the Enable Nero Scout option so that Nero Scout will not index media files and that it will not appear in Windows Explorer anymore. Since I wanted to make sure it did not appear in Windows Explorer I unchecked both options starting with the Integrate Nero Scout in Windows Explorer one. The results can be seen immediately and do not require a restart of the system.
