The unending lockdown has descended a devastating effect upon the life of countless innocent individuals. In particular the BLIND who depended largely upon selling different materials in trains and 

buses have become extremely vulnerable as there is no other possibilities to run their life. What they earned on daily basis were  sufficient to manage their everyday basic needs and now they have nothing but to survive bye the support rendered by kind hearted people. Our field work has made us aware that the blind across the state need support to manage, their children, aged parents, house rentals, medical expenses, and so on. Moreover, the families where there are more than one blind persons have even more issues and requirements  to cope up with. Let us explain what we have done so far to provide a small support to meet very big demand of our visually challenged friends. A month ago, we  started a whatsapp group in the name of UTHAVUM SONTHANGAL, (உதவும் சொந்தங்கள்), and gathered monitary  support from, visually challenged, school teachers, professes, other government workers, well-wishers and donors, then transparently  updated each penny then and there on the group. The list of beneficiaries were  also being updated, and to ensure that the money has reached them, we record them saying that they've got the money and posted them in the group. A team of enthusiastic people are working tirelessly behind this selection and distribution process, which is hugely bresulting in the transparency, perfection, accuracy in validating beneficiaries and distributing money at the rate of thousand rupis per head through online transaction. Our primary mission is to reach out to the visually challenged who are badly affected due to this unprecedented curfew because of life threatening Kovid-19.
