The SF Free School now uses meetup as a way to let people know about
our events, classes and workshop, and it's a way for all freeschoolers
to stay in touch with each other and to stay up to date about what's
happening with the free school on any given day of the week. I
encourage all of you who are not yet members of meetup to join. You'll
be able to see the free school events calendar when you visit the
meetup group we maintain and you'll be able to RSVP for our regular
potlucks and classes there, and participate in all the other events we
also hold. Meetup is a great way to meet people with similar interests
and it’s also a great resource for free things happening in San
Francisco and in the Bay Area. Join our meetup group and become part
of a growing community with nearly 250 members, and growing!

Hi Melissa,

Steve, the owner of Blacklight Ventures who made his space available
for us to use for our Tuesday night potlucks, is now spending much of
his time in New York working on his visions to create green and
sustainable cities, and without him here in San Francisco we now are
not able to use Blacklight very often. We will still be able to use
Blacklight on occasions, when he’s back in town, but not as regularly
and most likely not on Tuesdays, and the events we will hold there may
or may not be potlucks.

We DO have a potluck planned for October the 24th though, from 6:00
to 8:00 pm, at the Sports Basement, and we’ll also have potlucks at
the Sports Basement on December the 5th and January the 2nd. To find
out more details about our potlucks, and to see a listing of all the
events that the SF Free School is holding, check out the SF Free
School Meetup Group. You will need to join Meetup to see the Free
School calendar, but joining is very easy, and once you join you’ll be
kept informed about all our potlucks and all the events that the SF
Free School has to offer.

With very warm regards,

Warren Lake,
Coordinator of the SF Free School Meetup Group
