I am doing a presentation for my English Course at this community
college that I go to. We were assigned to do a project on the Welfare
System of America. I was wondering if there would be anyone out there
to assist me and present your views, either positive or negative, in
this Discussion group. Help Wanted...

The welfare systems attempts to help people who need help.  Does it work? Does it work effectively?  

if it isn't working, is it because of the people who abuse it or the way in which it is done?  Does it solve the problem or just allow it to continue? 

To solve poverty don't we first need to understand what causes it, and what would it take to end poverty, other wise we will continue to have the same problems and the same actions that allow it to continue.
