Some offerings from Noel Davis from "Campfire of the Heart". I wonder
if the stillness he names as the oil is the fuel that gives birth to
the Pentecostal flames
Stillness
the oil of the lamp that lights the soul
is stillness
and Love's flame is its new life
Love's Needle Work
As we surrender to the Stillness
and to the Trust that waits attentively within
the old pattern of our lives is changed
as each thread of fear
is unpicked with care by Hand
replaced with deft artistry
by threads of Love
and our new pattern of Life
begins to appear.

Beautiful ‘offerings’ Gabby…………the use of capitals to highlight the Stillness Trust Hand Love and Life…………..that which denotes GOD. I especially like the image of ‘unpicking the thread of fear’.
