And so, the Lizard Apocalypse begins These two walked into my house yesterday like a couple of entitled Mormons. Been hanging around for a few weeks, now into full invasion mode. I have decided I have one of two courses of action available to me: either 1. be very afraid or 2. keep the screen door closed. Always love it when they turn up each spring - shows my garden is a healthy place for wild animals.

I was puzzled about seeing two together and found a useful youtube clip made in WA which I have attached. Turns out they are monogamous and seek out their partner each spring, after living alone the rest of the time. Young are born alive and can be 20cms: adults can grow to 40cm, so that’s a lot of baby! Tail is a fat storage unit.
