I PRAY A QUIET LAKE
I drove around an old lake
a quiet lake surrounded by tall trees
I breathed in the sense of peace that was nothing more
than the natural world
Slowly going about its business of beauty.
Even in the most difficult times, the most hectic times
We are embraced by the endless cycles of life around us
We are held in the palm of peace, if only we pause to see it.
I pray a quiet lake in your life
The scent of rain in the distance.
