Hi All
 
Shirley-Joy, Chris and I had a get together yesterday to discuss/organise a Christmas Party for our kids.
Date: 20th December after church at 12.00 noon.
Proposed venue is at Blackwall beach (at the bottom of Beach Street Bicton) this riverside beach is protected from the wind, is a safe swimming beach with a small jetty, and is adjacent to a lovely nature trail/walk..and is easy to park.
 
 
We need volunteers to make the following:
 
FRUIT MINCE PIES
 
PARTY PIES
 
LITTLE BOYS SAUSAGES
 
SMALL BAGS OF LOLLIES
 
RIBBON SANDWICHES
 
CHEESE/PINEAPPLE ON STICKS
 
FAIRY BREAD
 
ICE-CREAM
 
FRUIT PUNCH
 
Please let me know what you would like to make, so I can cross it off the list.
 
We imagine there will be approx 15-20 kids plus parents, please cater for 40 in total.
 
 
 
Shirley-Joy is doing trifle and I am doing sausage rolls.
 
 
 
I will get Christmas crackers.
 
George...would you be our Santa please?????
 
We are having a Kris Kringle...so EVERY child is asked to bring a present to the value of $5.00, suitable for either girl or boy, aged from 3 to 13 years,  (Red Dot Shop)...
 
Any other suggestions/help Much appreciated.
 
If I have left off any parents email address that any of you know of, could you please forward this email to them.
 
ALSO COULD YOU RSVP BY THIS COMING SUNDAY 13th DECEMBER.

Looks like it is all coming together.........

 

If you forward the list of invites I/Ronny will check to see if we know of any omissions........

 

And  we might also ask for suggestions for activities........

 

party games.....

 

could also be good to have the whole group sing a christmas song.... and could be fun teaching and getting all involved......... then those at the Christmas day service (or before/afetr christmas) might like to sing it again in the church....

 

Could also ask all to write a Christmas wish....... which we can put up in the hall - depending on what is wished for!!!!

 

We could also look at arranging lifts this Sunday so that some can travel together on the day....

Thankyou for your suggestions, we have discussed games already e,g Egg and spoon race, 3 legged race, sack race , maybe pass the parcel etc etc all those we played as kids....
 
As far as those that have been sent invitaions ,I sent to the discussion group, Sue boswell, Ian blackwell, Megan O'connor, The Gwynne twins, Robin and Chris, and I think that is it.
 
I do not have an email address for Paula(Agathas mum) do you? or for Sue Izett, and also Clara, a lot of parents should pick the invite up from the discussion group...I hope..!
 
If you can think of any others please forward invite  and CC me in,and ask them to RSVP to me to let me know what they are bringing, i already have has a few acceptances, and Mince and savoury pies, fairy bread are all covered so far...
 
I really like the idea of the Christmas Carol...which would you prefer...me Silent Night...!
