hum hamesha aapane sarakari santhaonko gaali dete hai ki ye sab
'asaarkari'
hai :)
lekin aise organizations me bhi aab parivartan ho raha hai,
example:
1. maine pan card ke liye aaplication diya hai. pan card ke liye govt
site
par uska application no type karne ke bad muze latest status dikhaya
gaya...."card dispatched". keval yahi nahi to speed post ka
consignment no
diya gaya.
2. speed post ke site par (haan aapane indian post ki ek site hai!) ye
no
type kiya to detailed status bataya gaya...

become!

Yes, I have also experienced that govt has been using internet for quite some time wonderfully. You can find any detail about taxes, land ownership etc from internet within a minute. You can pay the taxes online in some cases. The records are well maintained. Further, applications like pan card and passport are also available online. I was happy to know that one of my friend could get a passport without approaching an agent, as it was not the case a few years back.

Well, I accept the comments by my colleauges that information is going online in quite many sectors.....

but one should also understand that these are the sectors which could be under scanner by many people (educated ).there are many more sectors which are essential to improvise and update their database and information but yet did not take place since they are not too concerned with educated class of citizens( cities)....or not too involved with daily needs

This effort shouldn't be an eye-wash but should act as a medium for obtaining information which is a right provided by the constitution.......
