According to Space.com/Mars.vs.venus, Venus is the planet that would most harbor life forms currently. Space.com also says that Mars doesn't have water so landing there would not be beneficial. Mars also has a ring that makes landing there dangerous. (None of these statements are true... it is only an example of how to post. Do not use the statements as your response)

Landing on Venus:

Very Hot
Extreme Pressure
Thick atmosphere

"Venera 7 was one in a series of Soviet missions to Venus to explore the surface of the hot, hellish and cloud-covered
world. The spacecraft consisted of a spherical landing probe and a spacecraft bus to carry the lander to Venus."

Landing on Mars:

Barely any atmosphere
Low Pressure
Cold.
Less gravity than Earth's

"Mars, the planet’s gravity tugged on the craft, accelerating its speed to about 21,000 kilometers per hour."

A Venus landing would be very unlikely. Venus has extreme temperatures that can go up to 864 degrees Fahrenheit, has an atmosphere of 95% carbon dioxide, and has very high pressure. While Mars does not have the most ideal conditions for landing, the temperatures are well within range to land and explore.

Landing on Venus would be impossible because of its hot temperature and its thick atmosphere.

 Mars

- Low atmosphere
- low pressure
- very cold

"The reason it is so hard to land on Mars is that the atmospheric pressure is low, less than 1% of Earth’s surface pressure. This means that any probe will descend very rapidly to the surface, and must be slowed."

Venus

- extremely hot
- high pressure
- high atmosphere

"In the planet’s dense atmosphere, carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, somehow built up to toxic levels, now accounting for 96.5 percent of Venus’ air, as compared to 0.04 percent of Earth’s."

Landing on Venus
-Lots of pressure
-Lots of carbon dioxide
-Thick surface

Landing on Mars
-Cold
-Thin surface
-Farther from sun

It is very hot on Venus and would be hard to support life.

It would be easier to move on Mars because there isn't as much gravity.

Landing on mars is an easy feat compared to landing on venus. a venus landing is so hard because
1.) the pressure on venus is about 92 times higher than earth
2.) its has a significantly higher temperature than earth, 900 degrees farenhieght
3.) it has a toxic carbon dioxide atmosphere that would kill us.
