Don't understand your question.
Pik will allow you to install and switch between versions of Ruby, you
don't need to install or use multiple versions of Ruby if all your
projects work with the version you have installed (I presume
1.9.2-p290)

What you mean by this? Ruby 1.8.x differs on features from Ruby 1.9.1
and 1.9.2, so RubyInstaller and Pik install them separately.

Pik depends on exerb to generate the executable which is limited to
Ruby 1.8.7, however the version of Ruby Pik uses to build itself has
no importance to you as you use the final result: the executable.
