Hi,

Is there a way to rename the ruby versions in pik?

I have several releases of Ruby 1.8.7 (-p330, -p334) that are all called 1.8.7 by Pik, the only thing I can do is type pik use 187 and then it prompts me to choose between those versions.

I also have several installs of the same version that I like to keep separate because they have a different set of gems installed.  If you install the same version of Ruby once more, you're prompted to choose a different name, but now I want to change that name afterwards.

Am I overlooking something in the docs (BTW I am using Pik 0.2.8)

Best regards and thx in advance,

I found a way to do manage ruby versions and gem collection manually by editing C:\Users\<username>\.pik\config.yml.
See my posting here: http://ruby.vanhecke.info/2011/04/12/managing-several-ruby-versions-and-gem-collections-on-windows-with-pik/ (and more Pik postings at http://ruby.vanhecke.info/tag/pik/ ).

BTW for Rails users on Windows there's now http://railsinstaller.org/ - which is fully compatible with Pik - see this thread https://groups.google.com/forum/?pli=1#!searchin/railsinstaller/pik/railsinstaller/TRnf1DUF-F4/r1I3gD4BEyUJ
