I noticed that I had an alias 186 => ruby-1.8.6-p398

C:\dev\ruby\downloads\rubygems-1.6.2>pik rm ruby-1.8.6-p398
Are you sure you'd like to remove 'ruby-1.8.6-p398'? |yes|

ruby-1.8.6-p398 removed.

(the alias wasn't removed with its target?)

unfortunately the help text doesnt' seem to help here.

C:\dev\ruby\downloads\rubygems-1.6.2>pik help alias

Usage: pik alias [options]

manages aliases for ruby versions

-V, --version Pik version
-d, --debug Outputs debug information


C:\dev\ruby\downloads\rubygems-1.6.2>pik alias remove 186
ERROR: Unknown alias action remove
