iceGatheringState stuck at gathering

I am using WebRTC for chat but after properly working 4 to 5 times the iceGatheringState gets stuck at gathering and as a solution or workaround either I have to restart the signalling server or change the browser for chat. Due to this further working gets stuck and the p2p connection is not created.
