Hi,

Is there a publicly available TURN server I can use for testing if a user behind a firewall is able to connect?
Some of our users can't connect to the apprtc demo and before I'll use a complicated setup I just want to test it. The apprtc demo doesn't use a TURN server, right?

Thanks

Hi,

The apprtc,appspot.com demo does use a TURN server.

Hi Pablo,

You can try connecting on the demo: http://xirsys.com/demo/. If your TURN connections are still failing, let us know and we can help you troubleshoot the problem.

I'll try both apprtc,appspot.com and http://xirsys.com/demo/ and report back in few days.

Thanks

Hi Pablo,

You could also give seamconnect service a try. The demo is available at - https://seamconnect-webrtc.appspot.com.

Thanks,
Rajmohan

I've tested apprtc,appspot.com  and https://seamconnect-webrtc.appspot.com/ from university wifi.
It hangs on 'connecting'.

Is the demo supposed to tell me when the call failed?
Can I tell when it tries to use the TURN server?
Are there helpful logs in addition to the console log?

Is there a webrtc port test page similar to http://cc.rtmfp.net/?

Hi,

You can open chrome://webrtc-internals in a new tab to see the ice candidates used to establish an active connection. Also if you press ctrl + i in apprtc demo, it shows the ice connection state.

I'll test again when I'll be in the university.

Does the apprtc demo support TURN over TCP or just UDP?

From my tests, secure websockets over port 443 should I expect TURN over TCP to work in the same firewall?

It does support both.

I am not sure about websockets.
