Dear all,
We patched the chromium in order to support webrtc hardware accelaration in linux.
Have a look in the following link
When we make a video calll the decoding is done using HW accelators without any problem
But the vp8 encode using vaapi intel driver is failed and the chromium other crashes or fallback to software encoding
Going through the chromium code we noticed that there is no implementation for vp8 in the  in vaapi_video_encode_accelator.cc. There is only for H264. But     the codecs Vp8,Vp9,H264  have been registered  as candinated for HW encoding.
Is any workaround or patch in order to support vp8 ?
In addition, can we change the  vp8 codec to H264 in order to force encoding using H264
Thank you in advance
