Dear all,

I have just started to learn WebRTC, I am going to develop a java desktop application based on Swing API that communicates with other side using WebRTC protocol, something like Yahoo Messenger.
But, as far as I understood so far about WebRTC, this is not possible because WebRTC is bounded to browsers and mobile applications. Is it possible to use java swing api to develop a desktop application without using javascript?

Best regards,
Karimi

Hi, you need write desktop version of JNI binding for WebRTC C++ API, just like what WebRTC Android sdk does, but without referring any Android class.

I have a working WebRTC JNI library not published yet. If you're interested, I keep you posted once it is pushed to GitHub.

Kind regards,
Alex
