Hello.

I would like to install my own turn server.

a. Would it be the right choice to install libjingle ?

b. Is is posible to install a libjingle turn server on windows server 2008, or should it be a UNIX based OS ?

c. How do I start in a good way - can I get libjingle into a Visual Studio 2012 project and compile and go from there ?

(I have downloaded the source for libjingle-0.6.14 but it seems quite complicated to get startet)

Best regards,

Anders Both, Denmark.

I think you probably would be better off using http://www.resiprocate.org/ReTurn_Overview

We've used restund (creytiv.com) on Google Compute Engine, and it is pretty easy to get set up.

The libjingle TURN server is a lightweight server that can be easily customized and extended, but if you're just getting started using an existing server like restund or reTurn will be fastest.

Thanks. I am looking into ReTurn. I will post an update when I have it compiled and running on windows.
