webRTC in iOS swift, trying to implement RTCDataChannel

So in learning how to use webrtc, the only project i found that would compile and work is https://github.com/sushilthe/webrtc-ios-swift

now trying to implement RTCDataChannel to send data concurrently with video chat.. but he's using ARDAppClient rather than RTCPeerConnection...

can anyone with some experience explain how to integrate?
