There are very few people who have had as much influence on how WebRTC evolved as Bernard.

I am saddened to share that Bernard Aboba, a long time IETF participant, <https://datatracker.ietf.org/person/bernar...@gmail.com> passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, after facing health challenges.

Many of you certainly know him, and appreciate the work that he did over the years for a better and more secure Internet, in the IETF, IEEE and at Microsoft.

Bernard's funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM at: Herzi Memorial Park<https://h-nt.org/bereavement-funeral-cemetery/>, 16747 Dayton Ave. N, Shoreline, WA 98133.

Oh, what devastating news! Bernard was a fixture in the WebRTC world.
My condolences.

Silvia.

I've worked with Bernard in IETF contexts and other places for nearly 30 years. He was always a voice of reason and insight, and a friend to many, many of us in the community.

He will be missed.
