Does reliable data channel ( ordered == true ) ensure data integrity ?

The spec. only said : A reliable channel ensures that the data is delivered at the other peer through retransmissions.

If the other peer receives packets via data channel with default settings , are these packets 100%  correct ? Does underlying data transport use checksum mechanism to protect these packets ?
