Hi All,

I have a 2 Mbps internet connection and i have build a video call application using WebRTC code given by Google which can have max 16 participants. I would like to know what is the minimum bandwidth required to do WebRTC video call??? What is the expected minimum bandwidth required to 5 or 10 person WebRTC Video Call??

Regards,
Eric

From our tests, 300Kbs seems to be the minimum per connection, though we have had to use the b=AS:xxx parameter to stop chrome going up to 2Mb (which doesn't work properly on wireless on our setup due to packet loss). To get more than 5 on 2Mb I would suspect you would have to send to a server with decent bandwidth and mix the streams. Use iftop to check usage (assuming you are on Linux)
