WebCodecs and WebTransport have overlaps in functionality with the features provided by libWebRTC. For a while, it is possible to find information about efforts to "unbundle" WebRTC (i.e. WebRTC unbundling: the beginning of the end for WebRTC? • BlogGeek.me).

I'm wondering what is the future of libWebRTC on an unbundled world.

Will libWebRTC own the JS-Native bridge, take the libraries implementing WebCodecs and WebTransport as dependencies and adapt the current the behavior of the JS APIs to the new dependencies?

Will libWebRTC continue implementing similar functionality as WebCodecs and WebTransport and continue receiving same level of investments?

Can anyone comment on the future plans for libWebRTC on an unbundled world?
