Hi

WebRTC now supports H265 streams

However, looks like iOS SDK is not covered.
Android SDK has necessary changes and works as expected.
I wonder if iOS SDK changes will be done later ?

We don't have plan to add HW codecs for HEVC in libWebRTC. If you need that, you may submit a CL for iOS.

Intel already implemented it in

interesting that those changes were was not included.
There are now asymmetric functionality for Android and iOS.

Not including HW codecs in libWebRTC for H.265 was the plan, as we mainly target browser.  It is a surprise that this works for Android.

If changes to support HW codecs will be submited as CL - will those be included in libWebRTC ?

Just curious - what was the reasoning for such a plan ?

This is the decision after legal review.
If you prepare CL for iOS SDK, we can discuss/revisit the decision with legal.
