ios: RTCMTLVideoView resizes outside frame bounds

In my app, I set the RTCMTLVideoView.frame during the initialisation. However, RTCMTLVideoView resizes outside the frame bounds to match the video aspect ratio. This happens both in fill and fit mode. 

To debug, I checked the RTCMTLVideoView frame and bounds in didChangeVideoSize but they are same as set during the initialisation. 

This is not a problem when I use RTCEAGLVideoView, but RTCEAGLVideoView does not have videoContentMode and possibly that's why it is no resizing and hence not a problem there. 

Any solution?
