Questions such as “is this better than that?” are quite hard to answer without having a detailed description of the requirements you want to satisfy.
Just as a starting point, I think (I might be wrong) that Jitsi is more an application (i.e. it provides a videoconferencing service off-the-shelf) and kurento is more a platform (i.e. it provides APIs and SDKs). If you want a videoconferencing service and Jitsi meet has all you need, probably Jitsi is your choice. If you want to satisfy other requirements (e.g. interoperability, non-standard call flows, media processing, recording, mixing, etc.) Kurento might be a more appropriate solution. You should probably refer to the projects respective mailing lists for further information.
