Hello,

Can somebody advise me if there are UWP Windows patch files to apply on top of vanilla M114 targeting Windows 10 platform? It appears that Microsoft has abandoned the UWP WinRTC and made it available only up until M84 Chromium branch.

I followed the link below

and, checkout branch head associated with M114, instead of the documented and older M84. The idea was to explore the use of new WebRTC stack and apply available patch files for UWP.

I am now stuck here - how to apply the WebRTC Windows patches for UWP.

Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately, WinRTC is not on active development any longer.
Most of the steps in the "Getting Started" are still the same, but not the patch files.
It is possible to get inspiration from the m84 patch files and port them to m114.

Thank you Augusto.

I am wondering if there is any documentation regarding the porting or maintenance of UWP patches. Much of the .NET wrapper interfaces should ideally remain the same and it may be simply mostly injecting the new and upgraded WebRTC compiled lib to produce the new NuGet UWP compliant library – will benefit promoting C# development for native platform targets.

One other alternative consideration is the use of WebView2. However, its consistent support on other platform is questionable and hybrid app is something I do not want to consider at the moment. There are some Cordova style SDK but they seem to be tied to their legacy/proprietary Signaling server.

Thanks.

Jayanta Konjengbam
