Hi All

1) I am working on webRTC native code. I had Already downloaded and build the     source successfully.
2) Now I want to change the codec of video from Vp8 to h.264.
3)can you say where exactly the packet is converting into Vp8.

I think you can do this at the application layer by changing the SDP
strings generated by createOffer() / createAnswer() before you pass
them to the other side. That's how I'd do it in JS.

This seems relevant, especially section 5.1.
http://tools.ietf.org/id/draft-nandakumar-rtcweb-sdp-01.html

You probably need to figure out the diff between VP8 and H.264 payload formats.
VP8: http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-payload-vp8
H.264: http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6184

Section 8.1 in the H.264 doc seems very relevant.

Last, note that the WebRTC spec doesn't mandate H.264 support. At the
very least, I'm pretty sure Firefox doesn't support it due to patent
issues.

Good luck,
Victor

WebRTC does not currently support the H.264 codec.

Adding the H.264 codec is not a simple patch - it requires multiple tweaks to SDP negotation for correct behaviour of the negotation of the H.264 parameters, as well as adding an H.264 codec implementation (with all the legal issues that are relevant to such an effort).

I do not recommend trying to do that unless you have lots of experience with SDP and video codecs.
