It's with heartfelt sorrow I announce the passing of Les Shockey on Jan. 20, 2022, at 2:30 pm. I was notified by his brother, who added that Les was surrounded by his family. 

I don't remember a time in USGenWeb without Les. He was a member and WVGenWeb SC for over 25 years. Les joined the Advisory Board as SEMA SC rep in the 09/10 term and served in that role ever since. He loved USGenWeb and gave of his time and wisdom until his last breath. His USGenWeb family will miss him very much.

My deepest sympathies go out to Les Shockey's family and friends.
