Dear Sir Madam
Namaskar,

Information Sharing
Bihar India Government now started to construct a long dam to control all the flood out lets of Khando river to India near to the Kunauli Bhansar. This will certainly flooded the approximately 17 VDCs during the Monsoon season  this year. In the previous years it was four VDCs affected by the Khando and Mauhuli even there was open outlet of Khando. This construction work is started from February 24, 2012. After compleating ths costruction no doubt Saptari boarder area people will be in high risk of monsoon flood. This information is already share with the Saptari CDO and LDO for immediate action on this. But still the dam construction work is ongoing by Bihar Government.

Therefore, kindly I would like to request you all to have advocacy against the Khando dam, so that the people of 17 VDCs of Saptari can survive during the monsoon season. Please, I also request you to send this massage to the concerned ministries of Nepal government to take immediate action. Hope for  very positive response in this regards. Thanking you.
Few photos is attaced here for your kind nformation

Deasr All,

I had written a book on the Kamla River in 2006 and quote few lines
from it. It recorde at one place, "One hears quite often that the
Kamla embankments are likely to be extended from Jainagar to
Mirchaiya, in Nepal. If that is true, then what is happening from
Jainagar to Mansara in the Indian portion will also happen between
Mirchaiya and Jainagar. If this is acceptable to all, we do not have
anything to say." Nobody cared to know what was happening in the
Indian portion of the Kamla basin.

I hope some of you must have read this book 'The Kamla-River and
People on Collision Course.'. Khando is no different either. I have
seen the sand spread on the filelds all along the Khando River and I
am sure that this sand will never allow engineers to live in peace
when contained between the embankments and will ruin agriculture. The
embankments will have to be raised every 10 years and that will make
the river even more ferocious. Should that happen and it will happen
for sure in future, the answer would be sought in relief distribution
and disaster management and neither of these can solve the problem
faced by the people. This will create employment for the relief
personnel and disaster managers at the cost of farmers. This is
happening in the Kamla, the Bagmati, the Kosi and the Gandak, on our
side of the basin with no lessons learnt.

Yes, it is harsh but truth. Nexus of Govtt. engineer&political managers have strong noose and common men are unable to decode this nexus. Hence political leadership have lost their sense of Mass-responsiblity ,so they will never accept this truth or amend this disaster bound policy. we are trying to aware people. We have not much option.
