I've got a bug report against the rat-maven-plugin: The rat report
should contain relative paths, not absolute paths, in order to not
expose local host details on the Internet. I agree with the report, of
course. Just to save me time: Do you know whether the problem is in
the plugin or in the rat core?

yeh - the reports were never really intended for public consumption

it's a consequence of how the plugin and core play together
from the core perspective, the problem is that the file getPath is
used as the name in the xml but really should be an URL. if the core
were rewritten so that it's URL-based (as it needs to be) then this
problem would go away. however, if the file path is relative then this
would go away so it may be possible to fix in the plugin as well.

No problem. I already changed the plugin to use relative paths. And
