Hey Ben,

Do you mind if I create a slack for ddc/discus? It'll be easy for users to ask questions as well as for us to shitpost, uh I mean discuss.

I looked into using Slack for DDC about a year ago, but at the time there didn’t seem to be an easy way to allow new users to join the system without manually adding them. There were some custom hacks, but it seemed like we’d need to run our own channel management code somewhere.

I talked to Ed Kmett about it and he said he just uses IRCCloud for a web interface to IRC and it’s fine. I’m now just using IRCCloud as well, and don’t know what else from Slack we really need..

Personally, I’m not fussed which system we use, but I wouldn’t want to split the channel across both Slack and IRC unless there was a seamless bridge between them.
