Hi Sailors,

Welcome to Official Summer.  Record breaking heat and flukey daytime winds.  Gotta love it when the sea breeze fills in for the KISS races or the night breeze pops up for the Night Crawlers.

Speaking of which, I note that there is a Night Crawler on the calendar for Friday the 29th.  We had a nice turnout for the last one.  It's a great way to welcome the weekend - Highly Recommended!

You may recall that our 6th Geico Cup was on June 9&10.  Got to say that we had a darn good time.  Total participation was 18 boats with 6 coming from well south of the Wilson Bridge.  Dale and I got talked into sailing Coup in the Spin class on Saturday despite being double handed (thanks a lot Pat).  So we did three races with just two of us on board.  And kites were going up and coming down throughout the day.  We had fun but oh my achin' back!  Sunday had lighter winds and Pat only got one race off.

Thanks SO MUCH to Geico and Janet Minshall for providing goodies, graphics and beautiful trophies (daily trophies and overall trophies).  Janet's designer did another great job with the Geico Cup graphics.  Really nice T-shirts, as always.
