Geico Cup Updates and Requests

Hi Sailors,

Just a few more days until our annual Geico Cup.  Two (or one if you prefer) days of racing with some of our good friends from QYC.  10:00 am meeting and rendezvous at 10:45 at #6.  Our PRO Pat and his able team is stocked up and ready to run the races.  Bob Lang from Good Trade (winner of the 2011 Taco Wars as well as several races) has volunteered to take on the Saturday after race events.  (Sure hope he brings some more venison chili!)

We have a pretty good start with our registrations but I know there are a bunch of you attempting to be the last person to show their cards.  This isn't Texas Hold-Em folks.  Turn 'em over and check in with us so we can plan the food!

News from Southern Bay  and Hampton YC - don't know if there are any of you unaware of this but HYC got creamed by a twister in the middle of SBRW.  Bob Fleck sent this link to HYC's photos.

Lots of damage on land to boats, buildings, vehicles.  Appears to not be much harm to boats in the water and people.  But the race was knocked off-line after one day of competition.  Very grateful for the lack of injuries. 

We have three boats coming in from QYC and I heard from Dark Star, Cooks, Runneth Over, Turtle. rumors of Wiz and Firefly. Probably some others who have registered that have not responded to my entreaties to RSVP.  I know there are more sailing - But who?  Don't be shy.
