Que: 1.23     show that P(A intersection B)= P(A) intersection P(B) or given counter example.


Que: 1.23    show that P(A union B)= P(A) union P(B) or given counter example.

Q 1.23:
I think we can take some examples like-
A= {1,2}
B
= {2,3}
P
(A) = {Phi,{1},{2},{1,2}}
P
(B) = {Phi,{2},{3},{2,3}}
AUB = {1,2,3}
P(AUB) = {Phi,
{1},{2},{3},{1,2},{2,3},{1,3},{1,2,3}} contains AUB
but P(A)UP(B) can never contain AUB
