chrome extension install failure

Invalid value for 'permissions[0]'

current version 5.0.342.9 beta . os ubuntu 10.10

how do i update it or fix the issue ?

Hey Paul, you should definitely update your browser. Disconnect
requires at least Chrome 7, but more importantly, any version of
Chrome below 8 has well-known security holes that can easily be
exploited.

To update, go to wrench menu > About Google Chrome.

I just installed disconnect extension, and I think its a great idea. Problem is I was using google voice 32-bit on my computer, now its says I must install the plug-in again and it will not let me sign into IE for the 32-bit, but it will for the 64-bit. How do you uninstall this product, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
