Thanks Nag, I appreciate the feedback and offer. Let me know what you
might want to work on (besides fixing bugs and adding features, I'm
currently porting Disconnect to Firefox and Safari).
In the interest of full disclosure: I'm not sure I can officially
accept help yet (the code is and will always be open source, so you
can send me patches of course). I was thinking of Disconnect as a
project rather than a startup but have gotten a bunch of investor
interest I have to at least consider now.
Hey Robert, the latest version of the extension shouldn't interfere
with Google Voice at all. Even if you want to uninstall, I recommend
making sure you've updated first to fix the underlying issue.
To update: right- or control-click the "d" button then select "Manage
extensions..." Click "Developer mode" in the upper-right corner and
"Update extensions now". Voice ought to work fine now -- let me know
if not.
To uninstall: after updating, click "Uninstall" on the
extension-management page.
I'm not sure what you mean. Do you see the "d" button in the
upper-right corner of Chrome? If you have a Windows or Linux machine,
right-click that button and choose "Manage extensions..." If you have
a Mac, control-click and choose the same.
I'd recommend installing the extension again (from
http://j.mp/dchrome) then following the instructions I gave to
uninstall. If the extension had anything to do with your Voice
trouble, the latest version ought to correct the problem.
