Upgrading DiscoJuice backend

Hi folks.

DiscoJuice is not in active development or maintenance these days, but nonetheless I’ve attempted to setup a new DiscoJuice backend to fix some long outstanding issues (such as respecting REFEDS hide from discovery entity category, and more).

The code base for the new backend is available here:

• https://github.com/andreassolberg/DiscoJuice-Backend

and should be possible to install and use for federations that wants UI-oriented JSON from metadata.

The new backend configuration can be inspected here:

Right now there seems to be some issues with the CDN fetching from the new backend. I’m looking into it.

I also have a lot of ideas for a new generation front-end. In a local UNINETT project I am including social login and the account chooser concept into the discovery UX. I attach some screenshots of what we have so far.

Hi Andreas,

if you have a minute, can you please check this pull request: https://github.com/andreassolberg/DiscoJuice-Backend/pull/2 ? I think it is important to use mdui:DisplayName as title because of there are some institute that have more than one IdP and all these IdP-s title are the same now because the latest version uses OrganizationName as title.
