OK guys....MX des Nations will be the weekend of September 25 & 26th
in Lakewood Colorado, just outside of Denver....who's planning on
going? Cory has an enclosed trailer lined up for us to haul the bikes
in and I'm planning on bringing the camper for us to stay in and save
hotel expenses (will need a 3/4 ton or larger truck to pull it, with
all the mountains I'm not sure my 1/2 ton will get the job done :)
Looks like we should be able to get a camping spot right at the races
so that should ROCK!!! Tickets are $90/person for Saturday and Sunday
( http://mxthundervalley.tix.com/Event.asp?Event=227790 ) I'm trying
to find out what the camping fees are but don't see them on the
website like they say they are...unless that's the "paddock fee"??? I
called and left them a message to call me back but if anyone can
figure it out from the website, let me know.

We need to find out who is all going and what days we're going to go
so that we can get some riding in too.

Who's in?

Cool...I'm pretty sure Cory is in except he had a deer in the headlights look when I told him it was the same weekend as the Sallisaw OCCRA race  :)

So that makes 3 of us so far....who else?  My camper sleeps 9 if you don't mind snuggling with another guy or 5 without snuggling :)

I'm out.  But I do plan on letting all the air out of the camper tires so no one else can go too.  :)

OK, found out some more information. Tickets for both days are $90.
Pit passes for both days are $50 each. Camping fees from Wednesday
through Monday at noon are $200 the entire time, I'm waiting to hear
if that is electric/water hook ups but if not we will have our
generator. After Monday, the MX track will let us stay in their field
for free until we want to leave. The MX track will be closed Monday
and Tuesday but will be back open to ride Wednesday for $20/day/
person. Sherri (the owner of th track) said there are a lot of places
to go ride close by. Here's my thought:

Friday, drive to the races
Sat & Sun, races
Monday & Tuesday, ride some trails in Colorado
Wednesday, ride the Lakewood MX track
Thursday, drive home.

I don't know who is all going yet, but please let us know if you are
because this has a great amount of bearing on the price of gas and
camping fee per person. Only kicker is that puts people needing 5 days
off from work, only other option is to cut a day off and drive back
Wednesday after we ride the track...thoughts???

It all depends on points for me. If I have an extra drop I'm in. Time off isn't a problem. I still have 60 days of leave saved up.

First of all 60 days of leave lol?

I think my dad may want to go as well. Who's excited about having
jetting issues at altitude? I guess Jamie won't have to worry about
that, but he'll be on a Honda so that has its own issues anyways.

OK Josh....you don't get to sleep in the camper....you have to sleep outside with your green slimy bugger bike.   :)

Cory....it's going to be hard to "play it by ear" with tickets, estimation of costs, etc.....just say yes :)

I also got confirmation that the camp sites are dry, no electric or water so we'll have to take the generator.  They do have dump and fill stations (for a small fee) so it shouldn't be a problem to keep water.  They also said that if we do have 2 vehicles & trailers, we will have to pay for 2 spots so we're going to want to try to get everything in to 1 camper/vehicle.  We can get 3 bikes in the back of the truck and should be able to get 2 bikes in the camper so as long as we're 5 or less, we should be good to go.  So far the only commitment is from me, Josh and Josh's dad....anyone else?
