So I have created a class for the block called 'BlockTest.java' that extends the minecraft TNT block and just overrides the onBlockActivated function. The problem is how to register the block, The only tutorials I can find are for earlier versions.
Additionally, it's highly recommended that, in 1.11+, you use all lowercase letters for things like registry names. This is because in 1.11+ Minecraft's resource pack system forces lowercasing on ResourceLocations. If you use capital letters in things like registry names, this can cause confusion later on.
For setting the creative tab, you just call setCreativeTab on your block instance with the appropriate CreativeTabs instance (all the vanilla Minecraft tabs have static fields in the CreativeTabs class).
Along with the release of 1.11 client, Mr. Jaron780 has updated the Spigot server plugin. He also went and made a Spigot plugin for 1.7.10 as well, to replace the old one by jpossi who is not updating his any more. Grab the plugins on the Multiplayer page!

All the cool roomscale and seated options that were added to 1.10.2 in the last couple updates have been ported to 1.7.10. We do intend on maintaining this version since is the only one that supports Forge. I will do my best to keep 1.7.10 on par with 1.11 going forward.

HEY! lol I just wanted some help with my new project (It's a Harvest Moon Trilogy map) and I wanted to give a few armorstands some custom player skins heads that have the texture of their character, example, I want the armorstand named Elli to have the Elli skin's head, I know what you're gonna say: just do /give @p skull 1 3 SkullOwner:someone, I know that's a good recommendation BUT it is hard to find people that precisely have harvest moon skins, So what I wanted to do was maybe download skins from an external site and dump it onto the map's resource pack folder, I know this is somewhat possible because if you use the /give command that gives you a player head the player's skin will be saved into the bin, I tried replacing those skins with the same name as the old file but IT JUST WOULDN'T LET ME CHANGE IT AND GOES BACK TO THE ACTUAL PLAYER'S SKIN. Is this possible? I have very short term memory and I even bring a notebook to write commands that I need, i basically have 3 command block journals filled with commands but I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW YOU IMPORT A DOWNLOADED SKIN FROM AN EXTERNAL SITE AND UPLOAD IT INTO THE GAME BECAUSE IT'S HARD TO FIND PRECISE SKINS. So please help me I'm really confused and I spend 8 hours searching for a solution (LOL BUT IM SERIOUS) , so i decided to sign up for minecraft forum and ask here, I hope someone helps me :sob:
Resource packs do not control custom player heads.
A player skull with "SkullOwner" string is translated into a compound containing an encoded URL to the skin file on Mojang's servers. That skull will always keep that same URL. Changing your own skin will create a new URL for your new skin, while the old URL will not change and that old head will retain its skin.
So while being logged out, you can change your skin, login, give yourself the skull with your name, exit the game, change your skin to something else, and that skull will still have the old skin. You can do this as many times as you want in order to get custom player skulls to fit your needs that will never expire.
EDIT: I should mention that there may be an issue where the "SkullOwner" string isn't translated, primarily when first provided via /give. You may have to throw the skull on the ground first and pick it back up before exiting the game, otherwise it'll just have the new skin.
That's gonna be hard since I accidentally abandoned my old mojang account....... I have to save money first before being able to do this -__- thanks anyway! although i found a program that can make varieties of mobs via resource packs, I guess I'll make varieties of zombies with player skins hmm..
Or just replace block textures in a resource pack to be the head textures you need. Use blocks you don't use like barrier blocks and the likes. Get those blocks on the armorstands heads and problem solved.
