Dear Colleagues,
The NHERI Summer Institute will be held in-person at the University of Texas at San Antonio's (UTSA) Downtown Campus June 12-14, 2024.
Summer Institute details. Each year, NHERI NCO hosts this free, three-day workshop at the UTSA to support researchers as they explore resources from the Natural Hazards Engineering Research Infrastructure (NHERI) community and learn to prepare NSF proposals that use NHERI resources.
Participants meet with NHERI site representatives, K-12 educators, NSF CAREER Awardees, and a program director from the National Science Foundation to discuss research grant proposal ideas and potential partnerships as they work in collaborative proposal groups.
The deadline to register for the NHERI Summer Institute and apply for a travel award is Sunday, February 25.
Please take a moment to share this opportunity with an assistant professor, an industry or academic researcher, or a doctoral student you feel would benefit from this experience.
- Print and share the attached Summer Institute flyer.
- Forward this email.
- Email me (Robin Nelson) to schedule an information session for an interested early-career faculty member.
Find more information by going to the NHERI Summer Institute website where you may complete this year’s application.
Again, NHERI Summer Institute registration and travel award applications are due Sunday, February 25.
Thank you so much for supporting early-career faculty’s development.
Best regards,
Robin Nelson, PhD
