The deadline to apply for the Mary Fran Myers Scholarship and the Disability and Disasters Award is Monday, December 1, 2025.
These awards celebrate researchers and practitioners who are doing outstanding work to advance the hazards and disaster field. Recipients receive financial support to attend the 51st annual Natural Hazards Research and Applications Workshop and either the Researchers Meeting or Practitioners Meeting that follow.
Recipients are also recognized at the Workshop during an Awards Ceremony and will be asked to present a poster or serve as a panelist to highlight their research or practical experience in the field.
We’re so excited to celebrate some of the amazing people who are working hard to reduce harm and suffering from disasters. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the annual Natural Hazards Workshop in Broomfield, Colorado from June 14-17, 2026.
