Dear all,

The Weather and Society Conference 2026, under the theme Whole-of-Society Approaches for Weather-Ready Communities,  invites researchers, practitioners, and decision-makers working at the intersection of meteorology, climate services, and social impact. Hosted under the WMO’s World Weather Research Programme (WWRP), this is a space to share ideas, tools, and experiences that make weather and climate information more inclusive, actionable, and effective.

Conference Dates: 23-26 February 2026
Format: Online
Abstract submission deadline: 30 November 2025

Conference themes (Sessions):
  1. What makes the communication of Early Warning Systems successful?
  2. Transdisciplinary Science to enhance Weather Services
  3. How do surveys provide applicable insights to National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs)
  4. Gender, Youth, and Social Inclusion
  5. Integrating Artificial Intelligence applications into forecast services and warning value chains
