The 2025 application period for prospective Bill Anderson Fund fellows is now open! See the attached announcement for additional information.
The William Averette Anderson Fund—fondly referred to as the Bill Anderson Fund, or the BAF—is a vibrant nonprofit organization whose mission is to expand the number of underrepresented professionals in hazards and disaster research, policy, and practice. The Bill Anderson Fund supports the development of professionals who are working to reduce harm and suffering among communities that are disproportionately affected by extreme events and other environmental hazards.
The BAF is seeking doctoral students enrolled at accredited universities within the United States. Students from all disciplines, including engineering, the social sciences, emergency management, public health, and more, are welcomed to apply.
