Dear friends and colleagues,
Please allow me to announce the publication of the edited volume A Revelator Pandemic: Crisis, Agency, and COVID in Latin America edited by Virginia García Acosta and myself. The book explores the contribution of disaster anthropology to the analysis of global pandemics, the relationship between crises and social change, how Latin American peoples and governments responded to COVID 19, and what Latin American responses to the COVID Pandemic tell us about the relationships between agency, politics, and social transformation. The volume features contributions from established and emerging scholars from Latin America, Europe, and the United States and a foreword by Kim Fortun.
