A client of mine recently received a Guaranteed Resale Agreement from Trendmaker Realty Services, Inc. for a timeshare he owns in Mexico. I have reviewed the contract, and it seems a little off to me.  The contract says that the escrow company handling the closing has already received the buyer’s funds, and that once they are ready to close, they will send my client the sales price (less fees) and along with the seller docs, and my client would then sign and return the docs within 3 days of his receipt.  It seems very strange for an escrow company to agree to send funds to a seller before receiving the seller’s executed docs. The contract also lacks a closing date, among other items that you would normally find in a sales contract.  I don’t deal with timeshares very often, if ever.  So, I thought I would reach out to the list to see if anyone had ever worked with this company or had any insight into this type of transaction.

Thanks,

Mike
